Greece is definately getting hammered by the wave of unwanted immigrants and the debt crisis. As far a people "hating us" (America) it's easy to hate the "SOLE SUPERPOWER" The last time there was a superpower other than us was the Soviet Union, they disolved a few decades ago. Have you ever played "king of the mountain" when you were a kid? You stood atop a hill and held your ground, then one by one kids climb up the hill and try to knock you off the top of the hill. The people climbing up did everything they could to knock the man at the top. So, it's just natural that people always can point and state " they are the reason for our problems", etc., etc... As Americans, were kinda used to it. Take care
My reply: China needs America like America needs China.
The United States isn't a NEUTRAL country.
It's a country whom the world seeks it's opinion when the world is going wrong.
We defend democracy. Example: In August 2008, the country of Georgia was being "invaded" by Russia. The United States stepped in and the Russians backed off. Georgia is a sovereign nation and its territorial integrity must be respected.
Who else is going to protect "the little guy" Switzerland? Denmark? They keep their heads down and point to The United States of America...
America is not perfect, we make mistakes. The important thing is that we stand on "being charitable" "protecting the weak" and "pressing countries" such as Iran from obtaining nuclear capabilities, and lastly spreading democracy...
Ps. Us Americans of Greek decent are super proud of Greece for all it's accomplishments. Those Greek ideals are still relevent today and the United States acknowledges this yearly.

My friend kostavv, you r wrong.Georgia invated to Russian territores i am afraid.Thats why the Russians has invated more on Georgias territories. This is has nothing to do with Democracy as you said above.I am not with Russians or Americans. Both try to manipulate the world for their own porpuses.(Sorry for my bad english).
Hey guys, since we all got off topic, just a reminder that Sfakianakis SUCKS! A self important and arrogant guy. Such a freakin' dissapointing concert.
Let's not pass treating people badly (the crowd, the people working at the concert hall and his band members) as just "Greek humor". It's B.S. and I just don't get Greek arrogance since they haven't had anything to be proud of since the times of Ancient Greece.
